According to Wikipedia, “wanderlust” is a strong desire or impulse to explore the world. But according to Parisians, it’s the headquarters of fun.
This open-air nightclub by the Quais de Seine (next to the Fashion Institute) is a futuristic-looking neon green building that’s been offering an edgy program of activities since 2012.
During the day, the Wanderlust offers yoga and Crossfit classes among many other activities. Once you’ve sweat to your heart’s content, feel good about indulging in great food at the restaurant with its unique water view and selection of street food that’s eclectic enough to rival the army of food trucks parked down the street. However you choose to spend your time, you’re sure to meet people from all over the world who are drawn to this gem in the 13th arrondissement.
Once upon a time, this part of the French capital was still an industrial zone, characterized by the smoking chimneys of 20th century factories. For the past few years since that industry faded, the 13th has been fairly empty, but now people are rediscovering this corner of Paris with Wanderlust leading the charge.
As if working out and eating great food weren’t enough to make your day complete, the Wanderlust is also famous for hosting nouvelle vague movie screenings, up-and-coming DJs, and thanks to an exclusive partnership with the Institut Français de la Mode, they also organize fashion shows featuring collections from promising designers.
