Yelle Releases New Music Video for ‘Noir’

Yelle is a group that never stops moving, not even in quarantine. Today, the French pop act released a new music video for their song ‘Noir,’ off their album ‘L’Ère du Verseau,’ which was released in September.

The music video, a celebration of the dynamic versatility of an all-black wardrobe, was accompanied by three new remixes of the song. The refrain is one any city dweller should relate to: “What are you wearing tonight? Me, I’m wearing black.” It’s an ode to post-pandemic life, with singer Julie Budet saying, “I strongly hope that this song will make you want to dance, to party, to stay out late, just at a moment when all of this is forbidden…”

The fantastic looks in the video were designed by Pierre-Alexis Hermet, who previously worked with Yelle on the music video for their song ‘Karaté.’ Check out their latest album, or this music video for their early quarantine single ‘Je t’aims encore,’ for more of Yelle’s signature club-worthy tunes.
