Netflix Teases Part 2 of ‘Lupin’ in new trailer

A man holding a sign

[Part 1 SPOILERS ahead] Netflix broke records with its snazzy and stylish five-episode crime drama, ‘Lupin,’ in January. The show, which stars Intouchables actor Omar Sy, is an adaptation of the Arsène Lupin books, which are to the French what Sherlock Holmes was to the British.

Part 1 ended with Sy’s character, Assane Diop, the flashy gentleman burglar alluded to in the show’s title, realizing that his son has been kidnapped by associates of Hubert Pellegrini, the target of Diop’s revenge. Today, Netflix released a teaser trailer for Part 2, set to be released this summer. The trailer sets Raoul’s kidnapping up as the main event of the season, with Diop on a quest to rescue him, and his captors using the boy as bait for his slippery father. Considering that the first season was about Diop’s journey to avenge his father, now having to protect his son from the repercussions of his actions feel like coming to the close of a perfect circle.

We wait with bated breath for what is sure to be a glamorous, thrilling, and completely bingeable Part 2 of ‘Lupin.’
