SNL Skewers Catherine Deneuve and Brigitte Bardot

“Why can we not have the freedom to explore and enjoy? What is more french that that, you know?” says Catherine Deneuve seated beside Brigitte Bardot, or rather, actresses Kate McKinnon and Cecily Strong. The faux-French duo were on Saturday Night Live to explain their aversion to the #MeToo movement.

In January, the two French actresses were among the 100 signatories of a letter published in Le Monde criticizing the anti-sexual harassment movement, provoking numerous reactions of indignation in the United States where this movement was born.

McKinnon and Strong appeared giddy to imitate the two actresses, putting on beautiful French accents. “Why does a woman have breasts? Is for a man to grab and pull,” says the fake Brigitte Bardot, played McKinnon. “A drawer have a knob, a woman have two knob.”
