When scrolling through TikTok or Instagram, you might be looking for a laugh or a hot tip, but sometimes you just want something that makes your brain go, Ahhhhh.

Adem Zeyrek is an artist based in Romorantin, France, who is delivering exactly that kind of soothing video content. Zeyrek went viral on TikTok this year with videos of him “carving” shapes onto blank walls, making the optical illusion that he was turning them into brick and stone. The final effect is delightfully whimsical, turning concrete buildings into fairytale cottages, but the process itself is oddly mesmerizing, akin to visual ASMR.

The next time you’re having trouble sleeping, maybe queue up one of Zeyrek’s videos and see if the simple shapes and clean lines offer you a little bit of relaxation.
