How French-American Actress Lily-Rose Depp Prepares for the Runway

A woman brushing her teeth

“Something I really love about Chanel is that I feel like they represent femininity and masculinity in their clothes really well… I feel that myself and a lot of women that I know, when they wear Chanel they feel very feminine, very beautiful, and very sexy, but at the same time very strong, and I think that that’s what Coco Chanel wanted when she started the brand.”

Meet Lily-Rose Depp, the perfect French-American amalgamation of her parents, Hollywood star Johnny Depp and French actress and model Vanessa Paradis. On top of that, she’s also French babe Timothée Chalamet’s current girlfriend. (We know, you’re jealous.) Lily-Rose takes viewers on a tour backstage at Chanel’s Métiers d’Art show at the Met, an Ancient Egypt-inspired fashion show spearheaded by Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld.

The young actress/model talks about raiding her mom’s closet (can you even imagine?), doing her own lipstick, and why she loves Chanel. Because when you’re raised by Lagerfeld’s muse, how can you avoid it?
