For Hollywood Fringe — an annual festival dedicated to theatre in all its forms — the Cabaret Versatile presents the world premiere of its show “The Parisian Dream.” Spectators will have a choice of four performances: Friday, June 15; Saturday, June 16; Friday, June 22; or Saturday, June 23.
This burlesque show, forbidden to under 18s, follows a young man who decided to move France after a political loss. Through an awakening of the senses, he discovers sexy and elegant women, all amidst the atmosphere and aesthetics of the City of Light. Like the protagonist, the audience is transported to France and experiences a myriad of emotion-filled moments.
Run by a company based in Los Angeles, this cabaret features singers, dancers, acrobats that you’d think came straight out of a Moulin Rouge party. They’ve appeared on James Corden’s “The Late Late Show” on CBS and on TV5 Monde. On stage, they alternate between cancan and sensual choreography.
