The Best Pharmacy In Paris And Why You Need To Go There

A sign on the side of a building

As any disciple of French Girl Style knows, the best beauty products aren’t bought from a department store, luxury retailers, or a witch who lives in a hut by the fountain of youth somewhere in Neuilly.

No — if you want the ultimate skincare products, you need to go to a Parisian pharmacy. And not just any pharmacy. Paris’s best-kept temple of beauty is City Pharma, located in the 6th arrondissement in the St. Germain-des-Prés neighborhood. Brands like La Roche Posay, Bioderma, Nuxe, and Caudalie are sold at market value, often less than half the price of what you would pay for the same products in the US. But be sure to get there early. The store opens at 8:30 a.m., but by 10:30 a.m. you’ll be trapped in a tourist madhouse. That being said, it’s still a must-visit for any major beauty nerds visiting the city.

Looking for something a little less crowded and a little more hip? Don’t pass by Oh My Cream, another Paris beauty specialty store that focuses on specialized skincare (and looks absolutely adorable).
