France hit a world record last Friday at the biannual Mondiale Air Balloons festival in Chambley-Bussières by launching 456 hot air balloons into the sky.
Mondiale Air Balloons is the largest hot air balloon festival in the world. After a few cancelled attempts due to wind and bad weather conditions, air balloon enthusiasts attending the festival managed to all launch their balloons at the same time.
Not only did the launch break a world record, but the myriad of colorful balloons in the sky created a gorgeous scene over the countryside of France unlike any other.
