Before you dig in on a Thanksgiving Turkey, you’ll need to relax with a glass of wine. Thankfully, Beaujolais Nouveau, the annual time of the year when we celebrate a new wine from France, is coming up. Here is a selection of places where you can try the 2018 Beaujolais Nouveau wine in New York.
French American Chamber of Commerce (FACC)
Drink and “networkez,” as the French say. The FACC will serve a Beaujolais Georges Duboeuf and a buffet of charcuterie and cheeses in the store Alton Lane on Thursday, November 15th. Les Compagnons du Beaujolais Devoir de New York
The Ordre des Compagnons du Beaujolais à New York will uncork some wine on the 19th of November at Le Midi, a French restaurant near Union Square. On the agenda is a small welcome ceremony new members, a prix fixe dinner, and live music, all with several bottles of Beaujolais, of course. OCabanon
The Chelsea restaurant OCabanon will transform into a casino on Thursday, November 15 after 4:30 p.m. The better players will be able to try Blackjack and craps. A dealer will be available to offer free chips to players. Nothing is better than that! 245 W 29th St.
Chelsea Market
What’s the best place in Chelsea Market to celebrate Beaujolais Nouveau? The enormous food hall is “determined to change your mind about this wine.” Many restaurants are offering evening tasting menus on Thursday, November 15 after 7 p.m. 410 W 16th Street.
Alliance Française du Westchester
Beaujolais Nouveau is also being celebrated north in Westchester. L’Alliance Française du Westchester welcomes their guests with a selection of Louis Tête wines and hors d’œuvres.
