This year, Bastille Day will last a whole week in San Francisco and the Bay area !

Chart

[Sponsored agenda] From Sunday July 11th to Sunday July 18th, let’s celebrate all that is French in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area.

The Comité Officiel is unable to hold the 4th Annual Bastille Day SF Festival due to COVID restrictions. They will be back in 2022!

The Comité invites you to celebrate Bastille Day over a whole week instead! They have invited dozens of French and Francophone restaurants, stores, cultural associations, schools, and artists that are waiting for you to discover them across the greater Bay Area. Many are offering special discounts, menus, entertainment and more for you to enjoy between Sunday July 11th and Sunday the 18th.

Photo competition

Join the photo competition, which takes place during the week, and compete for wonderful prizes donated by participating merchants and others. The first prize is One Week at your choice of 5 Club Meds with airfare from SFO for two, compliments of Calparrio Travel. Check out the many other prizes at www.Bastilledaysf.org. Specific instructions on what photos to post and how are on their website. Make sure to check out the rules!

Treasure Hunt

How do you find the participating merchants, artists, restaurants, etc? The Comité has created a special map, Bastille Week in San Francisco and Bay Area on Mapstr, which will go live at midnight on July 10th. The map lists all the participants with all their information and the promotions/discounts, special menus/entertainment and other offers they will have during the week. Some have set a “Magic word” for getting the promotion that you will find on the map as well in their listing. Only photos taken with participating organizations listed on the map will count for the competition. So check Mapstr and join the photo competition!

For more information about the competition, visit the Comité Officiel website.
