‘Lupin’ Announces Part 4 Release Date

Three years after we last saw Omar Sy’s “gentleman thief” Assane Diop, the beloved character will return to small screens everywhere this fall. Part 4 of the smash hit French-language Netflix series Lupin will drop on October 23, 2026, with eight episodes (up from five each for Parts 1 and 2, and seven for Part 3).

Sy, who has been in several films in the interim (including the sappy romcom French Lover and the thriller The Killer), will be joined once again by Ludivine Sagnier as his ex-partner and baby mama Claire, Antoine Gouy as his childhood best friend and accomplice Benjamin, and Soufiane Guerrab and Shirine Boutella as police officers Youssef and Sofia. Théo Christine and Laïka Blanc-Francard are also set to appear as newcomers to the show.

Lupin, which follows the clever and fantastical exploits of Assane, a scrappy underprivileged kid-turned-sleek criminal, has remained one of the most-watched non-English language shows on the streaming giant since its debut in 2021. Based on the famed Arsène Lupin book series by Maurice Leblanc (a contemporary of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, whose Sherlock Holmes is the unambiguous blueprint for Lupin), the Netflix adaptation brings the burglar extraordinaire into the present day, tackling corrupt billionaires, the criminal justice system, and systemic racism.

Part 3 ends on a cliffhanger, with Assane having sacrificed himself for his loved ones and turned himself into the police. Now in prison, he discovers that one of his cellmates is none other than his arch-nemesis, Hubert Pellegrini, leading us to wonder what kind of schemes Assane might be inclined to pull in Part 4…
