Young film lovers and writers, get your pens and keyboards ready! UniFrance and The Film Society at Lincoln Center are relaunching their film critique competition, “Salut les Jeunes Critiques,” for the 2019 edition of Rendez-vous With French Cinema, happening from February 28 to March 10 in New York City. The competition is sponsored by Frenchly.

As the largest French film festival in the United States, Rendez-vous with French Cinema will once again bring together several filmmakers and actors from France for a series of discussions and screenings of recent French film hits.

To partake in the Salut les Jeunes Critiques competition, participants must submit a review of one of the films screened during the festival (submissions must be made by March 8 at 12pm EST). The text must be written in English and be less than 800 words long. (Critiques should be sent in the body of an email to [email protected].) You must be under 30 years old to participate in the competition.

The author of the winning film critique will win a trip to Paris and a one-year subscription to TV5 Monde. The review will be published on Frenchly and the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s website.
