[Sponsored Post] Since its creation in the 17th century, Vaux-le-Vicomte has always been a family home. Twenty years ago, inspired by the magical Christmas decorations of English country houses, the Château decided to bring that same festive spirit to French châteaux—creating an enchanting new way for visitors to experience the estate’s heritage.
Discover Le Grand Noël
Today, Le Grand Noël at Vaux-le-Vicomte celebrates two decades of shared wonder, having captured the hearts of hundreds of thousands of guests. Once again this year, the family home opens its doors with joy to all who love to dream. Inside lavishly decorated rooms and throughout the illuminated gardens, tradition, wonder, and the beauty of history come together. During your visit, you may rediscover the magic of Christmas through the eyes of a child.

Step into “The House of Dreams”
Each season, Vaux-le-Vicomte unveils a new theme. This winter, step into “The House of Dreams.” On a winter’s evening, the gates open. The cold tingles your cheeks, while the air fills with the scent of sweets, distant music, and shimmering lights. Christmas at Vaux-le-Vicomte is not just a visit—it’s a journey, a promise of wonder where every step awakens a sense of childhood delight. In 2025, the Château celebrates the 20th anniversary of this beloved event with a special edition that transports visitors into the world of dreams. Each room becomes a stop on a journey through imagination, each setting an invitation to let fantasy take flight.
Inside the Château, the story begins the moment you cross the threshold. Cloaked in a red velvet cape, visitors enter grand salons where chandeliers sparkle and fireplaces crackle, surrounded by magnificent decorations. Animated displays, immersive projections, and magical performances delight both young and old, inviting everyone into a world of imagination and enchantment.

Outside, the formal gardens are transformed by a sea of lights. As night falls, a monumental video projection brings the Château’s façade to life (starting at 6pm), while an ephemeral ice rink adds even more joy to the experience. Who hasn’t dreamed of skating in the middle of a French formal garden?
Ice, a winter sky, twinkling lights, and the château itself—an enchanting scene straight from a dream.
Young visitors can dress up in period costumes to explore the château and run through the gardens during a festive treasure hunt, and families can extend the magic at the “Gourmet Fireside Gathering,” roasting marshmallows together under the winter sky.
