Michael Jackson was an iconic pop-artist who is remembered and beloved far beyond his homeland of the US. This fall and winter, the Grand Palais in Paris will host a retrospective of Michael Jackson’s career to honor the 10th anniversary of his death. From November 23rd, 2018, to February 14th, 2019, the southeast gallery of the palace will display a retrospective exhibit, called “On the Wall.”

Jackson, who sang pop super-hits such as “Bad,” “Thriller,” and “Billie Jean,” is lauded in this exhibit by the works of many fellow artists, such as David LaChapelle, Marvin Gaye, and Andy Warhol. The chronological showcase follows MJ’s career from his young days as a part of Jackson 5, to his climb to fame as an international pop star, to his death in 2009. As well as celebrating the 10th anniversary of his passing, the event also celebrates his birthday, as he would have been 60 years old this year. After finishing the run at the Grand Palais, this exhibit will tour Europe, stopping in Germany and Finland. Tickets for this exhibit are only €12 for full price and €9 for reduced price, and can be bought at the palace or online. (We recommend buying online so you don’t have to wait in line to go in.)
