This summer, there will be ample opportunity to dance and sing en français in New York. FranceRocks Summerfest will be providing the entertainment. The third edition of the largest French music festival in the United States, organized by BureauExport, restarts the action from June 1 to July 5.
Twenty-five artists, known or emerging and of various styles, take part in this festival, including duo Amadou & Mariam, Louisahhh, Yuksek or the Brest group Matmatah. (This last show is presented by the New York BZH Bretons Association.) The highlight of the festival will once again be the concert on June 20 at SummerStage, Central Park’s outdoor stage. The following are on the lineup: the sensation Vianney, performer of the year at the 2016 Victoires de la musique, DJ Joakim, and pianist Chassol.
