“BOOOM”, the Francophone Comic Arts Festival, will Stream Live in November

[Sponsored content] BOOOM! is a must-see comic arts festival organized by Made in France and sponsored by Jean Bastide, illustrator of francophone comics Boule & Bill and Idéfix.

This year, Pascal Gros, will be the star guest. Famous cartoonist, most notably for the weekly magazine Marianne, he has the gift of conveying strong messages through his art. He will be accompanied by Damien Glez, a French-Burkinabé cartoonist alongside Nadia Khiari and her famous cartoon Willis from Tunis

The festival will welcome numerous women artists, such as Claire Bouilhac, Laetita Coryn, and, Sandrine Revel, who is an illustrator for the San Francisco Chronicle.

Workshops for adults and youths will take place, with Marguerite Abouet, author of Aya de Yapoungo and Akissi.

Oh là là, this special day is approaching! The festival will start on November 5th and will be 100% online: sign-up here.  

JUL, scriptwriter of the Lucky Luke comic strip, will be part of the jury for the famous BOOOM! contest. So grab your pencils, it’s time to show your talent by preparing a comic on the theme “A cowboy comes to your town”. The contest is in partnership with the EFSAC of Sacramento, and, Lucky Comics. It is open to kids 7 to 16. 

Made in France is a non-profit organization that promotes French language and Francophone culture.
