The Best Chateaux in France

While your first thought when planning a trip to France might be “Paris!” there is so much more to France outside of its capital city, including the many castles that are found throughout France’s countryside.

Most castles are open to the public to come and stroll through the beautifully kept grounds and walk through the museum like interiors, which feature art and furniture specific to the region and the history of the castle. For example, Château Chantilly which is located just northeast of Paris, houses the 2nd largest collection of paintings in France only after the Louvre.

It’s a great way to learn a bit of history as well as pretend that you are a Queen for a day. Also, they make great locations for photo shoots.

Check out the beautiful landscapes in the video above!
