Watch People Zipline Off the Eiffel Tower

47168

The view from the top of the Eiffel Tower is pretty spectacular, but how about the view from 500 feet in the air above the Champs de Mars?

For a limited time only, a lucky 260 people will get the chance to fly from the second level of the Eiffel Tower all the way to École Militaire at 56 miles per hour. The event is sponsored by Perrier, the sparkling water, as part of a campaign to promote the Roland Garros (French Open) tennis tournament. The tournament kicked off May 26, and will run until June 9, and the zipline spots were raffled off on social media.

The stunt comes less than two weeks after an unidentified man was caught climbing from the same second story landing that these gold-ticketed winners got to launch from. So it just goes to show—whether you’re plucky or lucky, there’s always a way to shoot for the stars.
