The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge William and Kate made a visit to Paris last week. It’s the first official visit that William has made since the death of his mother Princess Diana.
Unfortunately, instead of doing really Parisian-y things like drinking espressos in cafés, eating as many croissants as they can, or exploring the trendy bar scene of the 11th arrondissement, Will and Kate’s trip was a lot more business than pleasure.
After meeting with President Hollande, Will and Kate watched a rainy game of soccer, then visited Les Invalides military museum and talked with survivors of the 2015 Paris attacks. They also got a chance to tour the Musée d’Orsay. The best event of the trip was definitely their evening at the British Embassy, when Will and Kate helped launch the initiative Les Voisins, that celebrates cultural ties between France and the UK.
It may not have been the most exciting trip to Paris one could take, but at least Kate got to look as stylish as ever with her many outfit changes. At the Les Voisins launch, she wore a black Alexander McQueen dress, then a Jenny Packham gown for the gala dinner. She’s always a style inspiration.
