WATCH: Trailer of “Beauty and the Beast” with Léa Seydoux and Vincent Cassel

A person looking at the camera

Beauty and the Beast fans have been waiting patiently since it was announced ages ago that Emma Watson was going to play Belle in a new Disney adaptation of the fairytale. But since that film isn’t set to release until March 2017, French filmmaker Christophe Gans’ film “La Belle et la Bête” is coming to the U.S. this fall to satisfy fans of magical lands and stories of love!

Though Gans’ “La Belle et la Bête” originally released in 2014 in France, it is now coming to the U.S. with subtitles, and will be released in select movie theaters on September 23rd.

Starring Léa Seydoux and Vincent Cassel, this version of Beauty and the Beast looks absolutely stunning, with beautiful costumes and dream-like sequences that tell much more than the story of Belle and the Beast. Although those who aren’t fans of CGI might not appreciate how much it is used in this film, I think it adds to the magic of the story, which just can’t be recreated without the help of a little magical technology, creating a truly gorgeous set for the fairytale.
