The up and coming French band called “Her” is quickly gaining popularity in France and now in the U.S. as they go on tour for their very first EP, “Her Tape #1” which came out this past winter.

Now, Her has the attention of some of America’s top R&B singers, such as the Weeknd. Not only that, but they just performed for the first time in the U.S. at the Annie O Music Series in New York City.

The French song-writing duo Victor Solf and Simon Carpentier have been working together for several years, but just started working on Her about two years ago. Her’s EP has a soft R&B sound, with soothing songs about love.

Even though their sound is heavily influenced by American and British bands and they sing in English, Solf and Carpentier’s music videos show a sensuousness that is unmistakably French. Their songs have the slow beat and soft tones to make just about anyone feel sexy, while still being upbeat enough to keep you from falling asleep.

If you’re searching for some new music, check out their performance of “Five Minutes” live at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton:
