France’s football league la Ligue 1 is beginning a new season, and TV5 Monde plans to screen the best match of the week each Saturday at 10:55 pm (EST).
The season begins Friday, August 8th with a kick-off match between le Paris Saint-Germain–double champions of France–and Reims at the Auguste Delaune Stadium. Marseille will get back in the game the next day with a match against Bastia, and Lille (who came in 3rd for the 2013-2014 season) will host the FC Metz. Monaco and Olympique Lyonnais will play that Sunday.
