French expats come to the United States for barbecue, the freedom to wear short shorts, and pop music (among other things). Did they come for English? Maybe. English is hard for the French; studies show that they are “vraiment nuls en anglais“. So Frenchly put a few French expats to the test to see how they’re doing with English. “Throughout,” “rural,” and “antidisestablishmentarianism” have difficult sounds for the French, and they did… you’ll have to see for yourself.
