All’s well that ends well, but: with the series of storms battering the west coast of France over the last few days, the only safe distance from the shore is a long distance.
That wasn’t the case in Porstall, a town north of Brest in Brittany, when a couple in their 70s wandered too far onto the beach—although not as far as you’d think to be in danger—and were nearly washed out to sea. The man speaking to the camera rushed to their aid, but it wasn’t until after the video cuts out that several people happened by and were able to fully rescue the three.

All three are now safe and sound.
