At the Bergamot Station in Santa Monica, a gallery will be showing all your favorite photographs of Paris. The Peter Fetterman Gallery will present “Toujours Paris: French Humanist Photography” from October 27 to February 23, 2019. It will highlight the French humanist movement of 1930s.
The works of artists such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Louis Stettner, Willy Ronis, and Martine Franck, who shared a common interest in human beings in their daily lives, will be on display. This trend began in 1930 in the working class districts of Paris and its suburbs, and flourished between 1945 and 1960. (Learn more about the humanists here.)
