Take a virtual tour of the Cognac region this weekend at an AF cognac tasting

Ah, cognac. Is there anything that tastes more luxurious than this French brandy distilled from champagne? Doubtful.

But even if you’ve been lucky enough to try it, you may not know that much about it. How is it made? Where does it come from? What is the best way to serve it, alone or in a cocktail? To answer all of your questions, Veronic Travel has partnered with the Alliance Française of Greenwich to produce the event Live from France: A Taste & Tour of the Cognac Region. Veronic Travel is a travel company that creates highly personal bespoke vacations unlike anything you’ll ever pull off of Kayak, and the Alliance Française promotes French language and exchange in the greater Connecticut area.

The event, which will take place at 3pm ET on Saturday, March 6, will allow you to experience a personal tour of the Cognac region from wherever you happen to be. Alain Royer, a 6th generation son of a Cognac family, and cognac expert with a resume too long to list, will share his knowledge on the liquor. Find yourself a bottle of Frapin Cognac (which Royer has worked with extensively), and register online to make the most out of the experience. Tickets are available with a donation in the amount of your choice.
