The fire at the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral moved Catholics around the world during Holy Week.

In Brooklyn, Father Paul Anel, of St. Paul/St. Agnes Parish, invites the Francophone community to a “time of prayer and reflection” in honor of Notre-Dame on Friday, April 19. The date is also Good Friday, which marks the crucifixion of Jesus in the Christian faith. The tribute will take place in the Church of St. Agnes in Carroll Gardens. The tribute will be in French.

In New York, Archbishop Timothy Dolan called for solidarity with the cathedral on Monday in New York, the day of the fire that destroyed most of the roof and felled the cathedral’s spire.
