Speak Easy: Make French Friends in NYC on Nov. 14th

Ironically, the neighborhood where French Morning’s November Speak Easy will take place… is impossible to pronounce in French.

French people will learn to stress the “H” in Harlem, Americans will work on their accents, and everyone can stroll through La Maison d’Art gallery with a glass of wine in hand.

For Speak Easy newbies, the event is like speed-dating for language exchange. Native English speakers are paired up with native French speakers for seven minutes of French conversation, followed by seven minutes in English. After 14 minutes, a bell goes off and everyone switches discussion partners. There are five rounds of conversation, aided by a glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres for all.
