See Cannes from Above on this Drone Tour

A large body of water with a city in the background

The Festival de Cannes has us itching to pack our bags for the French Riviera ASAP. Unfortunately, what with the festival still going on, the cost of short-notice plane tickets, and the hiked-up hotel prices, we won’t be getting to this city on the sea any time soon.

Until then, this drone video tour of Cannes will have to suffice. It was made by Expedia, and while we don’t have strong feelings about Expedia, we do have strong feelings about Cannes and this gorgeous footage. From an aerial view, you see the massive yachts anchored in the harbor, the bright blue water lapping against golden sand beaches, the facade of the Carlton Hotel made infamous for its role in Alfred Hitchcock’s film To Catch a Thief, and the stairs up to the Grand Auditorium Louis Lumière where the Cannes Film Festival takes place.

Watch the video above, then go book your tickets to Cannes for May 2018.
