When Americans think of a quintessential morning beverage, we think of Folgers coffee and sing (in our heads) the little jingle about how it’s the best part of waking up. France has their own equivalent: Ricoré, and it’s just as essential to a good French breakfast!
Made of 60% chicory (it’s a flowering plant!) and 40% coffee, all you have to do is add a few spoonfuls of this morning mix to hot water or milk and you’ll feel ready to start the day.
First created in 1953, Ricoré has been helping the French be more efficient in their 35-hour work week for more than 60 years.
