Parisian Style Insights From a Fashion Photographer

Paris is always an exceptionally good-looking city.

The art, history, and architecture of the city alone are enough to inspire anyone to pick up a camera. Add in the fashion designers, models, and fashionistas that flock to the city on a regular basis, and it’s the perfect environment for a French fashion photographer like Mathieu Vilasco.

“I just take my camera and shoot whatever I want, because everything I see is beautiful,” said Vilasco in a video episode of a new style series by the style website Highsnobiety. The video series features seven style experts from seven dynamic cities, and focuses on each expert’s unique style inspiration and creative work.

“Paris is a magical city,” says Vilasco. “You have more choices in this kind of capital, you have more influence because you can see so much style in the streets. In Paris, they are really crazy about style.”

In Vilasco’s photography, you can see how the subjects he chooses to shoot are influenced by the city, art and fashion trends.
