Netflix sure does seem to love French content. After the film “I Am Not an Easy Man” and the binge-worthy series “Plan-Coeur,” they’re onto creating French hit. “Paris is Us” is Netflix’s next original French film, launching on the streaming platform on February 22, 2019.
The film, directed by Elisabeth Vogler, tells the story of Anna, a young Parisian in her twenties who is struggling to cope with the trauma of nearly dying in a plane crash. Reminiscing on events from her life, she’s often caught between dreams and reality, past and present. All this as she tries to navigate a tumultuous relationship amid rising social tensions, protests, and tragedies in Paris.
“Paris is Us” stars Noémie Schmidt, Grégoire Isvarine, Marie Mottet and Lou Castel. See it February 22, 2019, when it begins streaming.
