On July 30th, New York will be graced with the presence of an icon of French cinema when Isabelle Huppert comes to Lincoln Center for the screening of two of her films.
To be presented in the 51st New York Film Festival next autumn, there will be a sneak preview in the beginning of the night of the actress’s last film, “Abuse of Weakness,” directed by Catherine Breillat. Next will be a discussion between Isabelle Huppert and the American director John Waters, who considers the French actress as one of his favorite actresses.
At 9 pm, Huppert will introduce the cult classic “The Piano Teacher,” the Michael Haneke film that won three prizes at the Cannes Film Festival including Best Actress.
The films will be screened in French with English subtitles.
