Night at the Museum: Behind the Scenes at the Louvre

A man and a woman sitting on a table

At night, when the last tourists leave and the lights shut off, the Louvre comes to life.

No, the Mona Lisa does not walk out of her portrait to go have tea with Venus de Milo. Although that might make for a way better movie than Night At the Museum.

Instead, when the museum is closed on Tuesdays (which is something you should definitely know if you’re going on a trip to Paris! Many an uninformed tourist have been disappointed by this random day of closure! Who closes a museum on Tuesdays?) the sculpture curators come out to work with some of the most treasured works of art in the entire world.

What must it be like to have that kind of responsibility in your hands? Watch the video above to find out.
