A woman brushing her teeth

Do you miss French cinema? You’re in luck because My French Film Festival, the online French film festival, is back for its 2019 edition. It started on January 18, and goes until February 18.

To enjoy it, simply go to the festival’s online platform. Twenty-eight films, feature length and short, await you. Short films are free of charge. The feature length films are available in many genres, from romance to comedy to action. Among the highlights definitely worth seeing: “Ni juge, ni soumise” (So Help Me God), a documentary produced by the team behind the Belgian series “Strip Tease” which follows the daily life of a judge specializing in criminal cases; the police thriller “Fleuve noir” (Black Tide) with Vincent Cassel, Romain Duris and Sandrine Kiberlain investigating into the disappearance of a teenager; “Comme des garçons” (Let the Girls Play), a comedy about the formation of a women’s football team; and “Diane a les épaules” (Diane Has the Right Shape) about a surrogate mother who falls in love at the wrong time.

The festival aims to promote the works of young French filmmakers. Viewers have the opportunity to vote for their favorite films among the short and feature films in competition, and two other prizes will be awarded by directors and journalists from the international press.
