Maison Kayser Will Shutter Its Washington D.C. Stores On August 16

Après New York, Washington est la deuxième ville américaine à avoir des boulangeries Kayser.

His time in the American capital was short. The Maison Kayser bakery will close its two addresses in Washington D.C. after seventeen months of service, according to Eater. Bread, pastries and other Kayser treats will be available in store until August 16. Maison Kayser did not respond to our request for comment on the reasons for the closures.

Established in the United States in 2012 after successfully expanding across France, the French brand quickly made its mark in New York, where it has seventeen bakeries. At the opening of his new points of sale in Washington in February 2018, Eric Kayser recalled in his speech, “We are above all artisans, we make the dough and we cook it on site. We can say that we are post-traditional.”
