French Tea Parlor Angelina Will Open an Outpost in New York

A cup of coffee on a table

Clear your calendar for September. The legendary French tea parlor and pâtisserie Angelina will be arriving in Manhattan in September.

The New York Post first reported that Angelina Paris signed a lease on the ground floor of ML House, a luxury rental tower at 1050 Sixth Avenue, near Bryant Park. There are already over 30 Angelina locations around the world, but this will be the company’s first United States outpost.

Known for its silky smooth hot chocolate and its opulent parlor on the rue de Rivoli in Paris, Angelina has been a hot spot in Paris since it opened in 1903, serving famous clients like Coco Chanel.

Angelina’s 4,000-square-foot space on the first floor of ML House will include a full-service café offering French fare, and a bakery counter. Angelina Paris USA, which holds the rights to open in the United States, has told Eater that it has plans to open three other outposts Stateside in the net two years.
