Jacques Audiard will get to spend the next month among the paintings at MoMA. From August 31 to September 20, in honor of his first English-language feature film “Les Frères Sisters” (“The Sisters Brothers”), which will be released on September 21, the museum will feature the most beautiful works of French director Jacques Audiard. The films are screened in French with English subtitles.

The marathon begins with the captivating “De battre mon coeur s’est arrêté” (“The Beat That My Heart Skipped”) with the tortured Romain Duris who manages to relieve his tension through the piano. Cinephiles will have the opportunity to see “Dheepan” again on Tuesday, September 4 at 7pm, and Sunday, September 9 at 1pm. Awarded the Palme d’Or at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, the film tells the story of Dheepan and his struggles in Sri Lanka.

The director’s new film “The Sisters Brothers” will close the series on Thursday, September 20 at 7:30pm. In a wild and dangerous world, two brothers set out to hunt down a chemist to recover a formula. During the journey, their relationship will be put to the test.
