Kids Judged French Pastries on MasterChef Canada and It Was Truly Adorable

What’s more terrifying than being judged by the eleven best pastry chefs in Canada? Being judged by their kids.

On this episode of MasterChef Canada, the three contestants are tasked with building an entire patisserie counter’s worth of French pastries. Finalists Barry, Thea, and Trevor must each select five traditional pastries and add their unique spin before “setting up shop” and seeing how many little tykes (and their very well-renowned parents) want a bite.

Barrie McConachie comes out on top in this challenge, with a tarragon passionfruit cream, a raspberry shortcake, and a chocolate gâteau, not quite as far on the traditional side as some of the other contestants, but a definite win.
