How to Text in French

One of the best ways to learn a foreign language is by texting in it. No pressure, no asking someone to repeat themselves, and you can take as much time as you need to respond.

But it also helps you learn how people actually speak in another language. Each one’s got its own shortcuts and slang, and not every dictionary is going to give you that. So watch this video to learn how to text like a French person.

Important ones to know are MDR (mort de rire), the French “LOL,” and biz, short for bisous or kisses. But there are dozens of others laid out in this video by Learn French With Alexa. So study up, you don’t want to keep someone waiting for your response because you’re too busy Googling what “CPG” means.
