We’re expecting hundreds of thousand of participants to descend on Times Square during the the Best of France festival, all looking to discover the best of what France has to offer. The whole event is free and open to the public. But francophiles who want to invest a bit more in an exclusive experience, there are three paid VIP events for which you can still get tickets.
It all begins under the Antilles sun with an opening soirée on Friday, September 25th. Guadeloupe, Martinique and Saint-Martin have joined forces to put on this Caribbean fête at the Axa Center on 51st and 7th. Buffet, drinks, show and music are all included in the $150 ticket price. The other two events are perfect for wine lovers: two giant tastings with 100 wines on the list. Renowned collector George Sape and famous sommelier Jean-Luc Le Du have designed a tour of France’s legendary vineyards through this tasting. From Champange to Bordeaux, from Corsica to the Jura, From Provence to the Loire valley, your trip will be accompanied by some of the best sommeliers in New York, including André Compeyre, Raj Vaidya and Carrie Lyn Strong. The cheese, charcuterie and desserts on offer should be sustenance enough to get you through the voyage.
The first wine tasting will take place on Saturday, September 26th from 7pm-10pm, the second on Sunday the 27th from 3pm-6pm. Both tastings will take place at the Axa Center, and tickets are $150. Click here to reserve.
