Have you ever wanted to see the inside of a Christian Dior workshop? Or maybe the Moët & Chandon vineyard? Or behind the scenes at La Grande Épicerie? For three days, you can.
Founded in 2011, Les Journées Particulières gives the biggest luxury houses by LVMH an opportunity to open their doors to the public and let them view the masters at work. On October 12, 13, and 14, seventy-seven locations around the world will participate in showing their savoir-faire and trades, 40 of which will be in France. (Of those 40, 36 of which will be in the greater Paris are, and 20 in Paris proper.) These exclusive locations, including historical estates and mansions, salons, fashion houses, boutiques, exhibitions and more, can be visited through group tours, open hours, and small ateliers.

Two ways to attend: reserve tickets or just walk in. (Reserving tickets is recommended because of the popularity of the event.) To reserve tickets, create a profile on the website beginning September 13. Creating a profile in advance means you can fast-track the process of buying your tickets. Sign-ups for tickets begins on the site Saturday, September 22 at 10am in France (4am EST) for a selection of houses. Various other booking windows will open after until the September 30. If you don’t get tickets, you can show up to the sites accepting walk-ins on the day of. You can only book one visit, so make sure you make it a good one.
