It’s not always easy to find the places the locals go to in Paris. But the tiny boulangeries and restaurants hidden down tiny cobblestone alleys in the outer arrondissements make some of the best food.
Thankfully, Alex Gabriel, a local Parisian and owner of the French Guy Cooking YouTube channel has put together a video of his top 5 places to eat in Paris, in what he calls a “delicious, dreamy, a bit caloric, and also quite utopian day in Paris.”
He starts the day eating croissants at Blé Sucré, a bakery which is also known to have some amazing madeleines. For lunch, he has a classic baguette sandwich from Boucherie Moderne. Later in the afternoon he has a pastry and coffee from La Patisserie Cyril Lignac and Le Pur Café in the 11th arrondissement. For “apéro” Gabriel heads to Le Siffleur de Ballons wine bar, before finishing the day off with dinner at Le Bistrot Paul Bert.
