If you’ve ever wanted try out the latest trends on the Parisian runways but didn’t know how to make it work in the hustle and bustle of flashy New York, this event is for you.

On November 29, FIAF celebrates French fashion designer Catherine Malandrino’s book Une Femme Française: The Seductive Style of French Women. Malandrino will be talking with Kristen Ingersoll, the Fashion and Entertainment Director of Hearst Magazines International. A book signing and wine reception will follow.

Une Femme Française: The Seductive Style of French Women bridges the divide between New York and French fashion. This life and style guide teaches women to mix the energy and vibrancy of Manhattan’s fast-paced lifestyle with the effortless style and grace of Paris natives. Malandrino’s book also offers much more than style tips; seduction tricks, skin care, self-empowerment all have their own sections.

As for Malandrino, this French woman has lived and worked in New York’s Fashion District for nearly twenty years. She worked under Emanuel Ungaro and Diane von Furstenberg before launching her own fashion line. After her brand was featured at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus in 1998, she received international acclaim, and her clothing line has since been a staple of women’s fashion. Her designs have been featured on multiple magazine covers and in the popular HBO show, Sex and the City.

The event takes place on Wednesday, November 29 at 7:00 PM in FIAF’s Le Skyroom (22 East 60th Street). It’s $20 for FIAF members, $25 for the general public, and $10 for students with a valid student ID. Tickets are limited, and you can purchase them here.
