Elon Musk plans 30-minute Paris-New York flights on his “BFR”

A sunset over some water

When it comes to Elon Musk, nothing surprises us anymore. The CEO and founder of SpaceX, who dreams of conquering space, wants to launch flights between Paris and New York aboard his future BFR (or “Big F**king Rocket”).

Unveiled by Musk on September 29 in Australia, this “rocket” with a capacity of 100 seats was designed to go to the moon and Mars. However, he also intends to use it for ground flights on earth. “If we’re building this thing to go to the moon and Mars, then why not go to other places on earth as well?” he asked the audience.

On board the BFR, a flight between Paris and New York would last 30 minutes, New York and Shanghai 39 minutes, LA and Toronto 24 minutes. “Most long distance trips less than 30 minutes,” he says. Fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be a G-force ride.
