It’s been 70 years since the Normandy landings and France wants to make sure American vets know their appreciation hasn’t waned. What better way than an appreciative e-mail? From May 10 to June 10, the association The French Will Never Forget is calling on French nationals residing in the U.S. to copy and paste a thank you message – pre-designed by the group – onto their e-mail signature.
The association, through this viral initiative, hopes to reach “millions” of people in the United States and around the world.
You can download the message here.
Also in celebration of this historic anniversary, The French Will Never Forget is planning a ceremony during which rose petals will be released by helicopter over the Statue of Liberty.
