A “Brazen” Conversation with Penelope Bagieu in New York

New York’s most famous French cartoonist, Penelope Bagieu, will participate in a discussion with author Mona Eltahawy on Tuesday, March 6 at the Albertine bookstore. They’ll be discussing Culottées, the latest book by the Bagieu, which will be released in English the US under the name Brazen on March 6.

From journalist Nellie Bly to African-American astronaut Mae Jemison, from Josephine Baker to women’s rights activist Naziq al-Abid, Bagieu draws the stories of known and lesser-known rebellious women in history. The conversation will be in English, and is free to the public. RSVP not necessary.
