You know that when you go to France, you should pronounce “elephant” differently even though it’s the same word as in English. What about when you want to buy a pair of Nike’s, is that pronounced the same? Brands are world-famous juggernauts that dominate the airwaves, sit atop buildings, and fill our cupboards and cabinets. They’re common from one country to the next, but that doesn’t mean the pronunciation of their name is.
