The Bizarre Quirks of Living in France

A person smiling for the camera

When moving to a new country, there are the things we plan for, and then there’s just about everything else.

Luckily, New Zealander Rosie, aka Not Even French, is there to slog through the minute cultural idiosyncrasies of French culture and report back to the general public. An expat and student in Paris, Rosie’s insider experience makes her a vlogger to watch for anyone thinking of living or studying in France. This week’s topics include French quirks like les soldes (or the French sale periods), one-year-olds on scooters, and having to press a button to get out of a building (aka, all the things no one will tell you but everyone will expect you to know).
